• About Us

The BCAC's mission is to create opportunities economically in the construction industry for African-American contractors. The BCAC will be an advocate and voice creating a platform for equality providing easier access to gain more market shares to be awarded larger construction contracts. The association will foster a strong group of entreprenuers developing their leadership and workman skills to compete for public and private contracting opportunities.

BCAC was formed in August 2007 with the concerns toward Black contractors and the lack of our visibility managing/operating large construction projects.

We will be an advocate seeking opportunities for the members to bid and be awarded larger contracts and to be exposed to information during the pre-bid stage. The organization is positioning its membership for economic growth and developing a networking partnership among the contractors to compete and gain more market shares in this industry.

BCAC will assist to create more General Contractors, large and small businesses and more woman-owned companies. In this indistry there is a large gap between Black General Contractors in comparison to their competition which leads to fewer economic opportunities.

In order for the BCAC to be successful and to enhance change our contractors must exemplify integrity and be competent enough to deliver adn fulfill the task that is required.

In our efforts to ensure growth we must:

  • Be a professional operating organization.
  • Have qualified professional xontractors with great workmanship.
  • Network to create more solidarity for a stronger membership to compete.
  • Operate our businesses like professionals.
  • Organize a professional apprenticeship program.
  • Educate and train contractors and employees about regulations for the industry.
  • Reduce and move barriers allowing Black contractors equality to compete and win.
